Ingredients

  • 9 oz egg noodles (250 g), cooked
  • 1 thick slice onion
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 2 tsp fish sauce
  • 1 tsp oyster sauce
  • ½ tbsp Shaoxing rice wine (optional)
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • caster sugar
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Pour the sesame oil, soy sauce, fish sauce, oyster sauce and Chinese rice wine in a small cup. Add 2 tablespoons of water. Season with a pinch of pepper and sugar. Stir well and put it aside until needed later.

  2. Pour half of the vegetable oil in the Cook Processor bowl fitted with the StirAssist and close the lid. Select FRY P1 and adjust the time of Step 1 to 4 minutes (instead of 10 minutes). Then press Start to activate the program. Add the cooked egg noodles and adjust the time to 6 minutes (instead of 3 minutes). Press Start to activate Step 2.

  3. Once the noodles are fried, press Cancel to exit the keep warm mode. Transfer the noodles to a plate and cover with tinfoil. Then add the remaining oil to the bowl of the Cook Processor together with the raw onion.

  4. Close the lid and select FRY P1. Press Start to activate Step 1. After that add the fried noodles back to the bowl and drizzle with the soy sauce mixture.

  5. Close the bowl and adjust the cooking time to 6 minutes (instead of 3 minutes). Press Start to activate Step 2. In the end the noodles should be dark brown.

  6. Transfer the noodles onto plates. Serve hot.
