Shrimp Wonton Soup

What a creative KitchenAid Cook Processor recipe then! I'm using the steam of the shrimp soup to cook the dumplings!

Ingredients

  • 4 shrimp wontons fresh or frozen
  • 2 cups chicken stock (480 ml)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tsp hot chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 2 tsp lime juice
  • 1 shallot peeled
  • 2 tsp fresh ginger grated
  • 1 small garlic clove peeled
  • sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Insert the MultiBlade in the bowl. Add the shallot and garlic.

  2. Close the lid and then press Pulse for 5 seconds. Open and scrape down. Remove the MultiBlade and insert the StirAssist. Add the grated ginger and sesame oil to the bowl.

  3. Close the lid. Select BOIL P2 and press Start to activate the program. Then add the chicken stock, soy sauce, fish sauce, tomato paste, chili sauce and lime juice.

  4. Close the lid and press Start to activate Step 2. After that press cancel to exit keep warm mode. Remove the lid and the StirAssist. Place the wontons in the steamer basket and cover with the steamer lid.

  5. Set the temperature to 110°C and the time at 5 minutes. Press Start and let the steam of the spicy broth cook the wontons. Once cooked, divide the wontons between bowls and then pour in the spicy soup broth. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve immediately.
